Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And lean not on your understanding
Acknowledge Him in all your ways
And He will direct your paths
--Proverbs 3:5-6
In times of strife and chaos, it is easy to conclude that God has left us, that he is no longer in control of the situation.
This is mistaken.
God is always and everywhere with us. He is always in control.
Because He is always in control, it follows that, even in the worst of times, we are precisely where God wants us to be at that moment.
That is both comforting and mind-numbing at the same time.

Very well stated...
Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. I can testify that they have a zeal for God, but it is not enlightened. For, being ignorant of the righteousness that comes from God, and seeking to establish their own, they have not submitted to God’s righteousness. For Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
~Romans 10:1-4
